Music Ministry
Music is an important and integral part of Trinity's ministry. There are numerous opportunities for you to use your gift of music to praise God.
Peggy McNamee is the Music Coordinator for Trinity Church. In addition, she plays the piano for the Modern Service, the organ for the Traditional Service, and is the Director for the Jubilee Ringers.
Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir sings at the 11:00 service September through mid-June. Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m., except during preparation for the Christmas Music Worship Service. Contact Robert Agnew, Chancel Choir Director, for more information or if you have any questions about the choir.
Celebration Choir
The Celebration Choir is formed each year to present the music for the Christmas Music Worship Service. Rehearsals start in mid-November. See Robert Agnew for more information.
Praise Team
The Praise Team leads the music at the Modern Service every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. The Team is open to receiving new members, both vocalists and instrumentalists. The Worship Leader is Gary Burtch and Peggy McNamee is the music director.
If you would like to sing with the Praise Team, please see Peggy McNamee. You don’t need to make a weekly commitment; we need subs. Also, anyone play guitar? We could use a guitarist!
Do You Play an Instrument?
We have many anthems and bell pieces that use an instrument – if you play an instrument why not share your talent?
Jubilee Ringers
The Jubilee Ringers is an adult bell choir directed by Peggy McNamee. The Ringers practice each Wednesday evening at 7:15 and "ring" once a month. Their repertoire is quite extensive. If you would like to become a ringer, contact Peggy. It's a great way to learn how to ring and there are always positions open.
At Trinity Church there are several opportunities for the children to participate in music. The Kingdom Kids sing at both worship services usually once a month. Rehearsal times are determined by their director, Amy Fornear. Give Amy a call to see how your children can join this group.
Chimes
Young children can be involved in this music program. They are taught how to play the Chimes. The rehearsal evenings start with a light meal, then some fun and learning their piece for the following Sunday. Contact Peggy McNamee for more information. Watch the bulletin for the upcoming schedule.
