A Caring Community of Faith
United Methodist Women Programs
Roberta Circle will begin our fall season in the Welcome Center on Thursday, September 26 at 12:30 PM. All women of the church are invited to join us. We meet the 4th Thursday of each month.
Book Club will be resuming in September - schedule not yet available. Contact Heather Burtch for more information.
General Meeting September 24
Mary Agnew will present a program on The Roma of Europe. This is a very interesting study on the Roma people of Europe (aka Gypsies). You'll learn a lot - maybe even how to do the flamenco dance.
There will be a brief business meeting at 7:15 when election of 2014 officers will take place. The program will immediately follow the meeting.
Light refreshments will be served following the program.
Our 21st Retreat will be held October 18-20 at The Inn at Jumonville. Rev. Lois Swestyn will be the Retreat Leader. She is pastor of Amity and Liberty UMC's and has led many classes on Spirituality. There is only ONE spot available, so if you're interested in attending, call Linda Schwartz immediately!
We’re looking forward to another great time!
You still have a couple of months to get some books read. In order to participate in the Reading Program you need to read 5 books in a calendar year, one from each of the designated categories. You also need to read United Methodist Women’s response magazine on a regular basis. The books and complete instructions are on the book rack by the UMW area of the Welcome Center. There is at least one year’s worth of response on the UMW counter.
Of course, you may borrow the books for your personal enrichment. Remember this program is on the honor system.
We’re looking forward to seeing you at the following events:
Sept 7 District Annual Mtg. Grace UMC in Coal Center

Oct. 13 Children’s Sabbath featuring a speaker from Operation Christmas Child
Oct. 18-20 21st Annual Retreat Inn at Jumonville
